News Summary: BEKASI, March 3rd 2016 – PT Pertamina (Persero) fully support government energy diversification program, one of it through conversion program from oil fuels to gas fuels for households and transportation sector. The goal was mentioned by President Director Pertamina Dwi Soetjipto at his speech in City Gas, Gas Station and Gas Transportation Module (GTM) launching in Bekasi, West Java. Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Sudirman Said attend the event and launched 18 units Gas Station, 2 City Gas location and 5 GTM with total budget approximately IDR 2.1 trillion.
BEKASI, March 3rd 2016 – PT Pertamina (Persero) fully support government energy diversification program, one of it through conversion program from oil fuels to gas fuels for households and transportation sector. The goal was mentioned by President Director Pertamina Dwi Soetjipto at his speech in City Gas, Gas Station and Gas Transportation Module (GTM) launching in Bekasi, West Java. Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Sudirman Said attend the event and launched 18 units Gas Station, 2 City Gas location and 5 GTM with total budget approximately IDR 2.1 trillion.
Projects that were launched are including Bekasi city gas infrastructure in total 3,949 housholds connections with 0.2 MMSCFD gas supply from Pertamina EP. Two units of online Gas Station in Subang with 1 MMSCFD capacity or equal to 30,000 liter equivalent to Premium per day. One unit of online Gas Station in Depok with 1 MMSCFD capacity or equal to 30,000 liter equivalent to Premium per day. Gas supply for those three Gas Station are from Pertamina EP.
Other than that, one units of gas daughter station in Ciawi Bogor with 0.5 MMSCFD capacity or equal to 15,000 liter equivalent to Premium per day. Gas supply for this daughter station will comes from mother station Cibubur. Minister of Energy and Mineral also launched 5 GTM units with0.15 MMSCFD for each capacity for CNG transportation to gas station or even Mobile Refueling Unit (MRU).
Dwi Soetjipto said Pertamina appreciate the government that has consistently improving energy security and also giving positive contribution to environment through oil to gas conversion program, not only for households but also in transportation. These programs was funded by the state budget and was assigned to State Owned Company like Pertamina to develop and operate infrastructure for city gas, gas station, MRU and gas pipelines.
“Langkah ini sangat strategis untuk mencapai target Energy Mix 2025 yang sudah dicanangkan pemerintah. Pertamina sebagai BUMN di sektor energi sangat mengapresiasi kepercayaan pemerintah dan siap membantu mewujudkan target tersebut melalui upaya percepatan-percepatan pelaksanaan proyek penugasan sehingga bisa segera melayani kebutuhan energi masyarakat,” kata Dwi.
“This strategic planning is to achieve 2025 Energy Mix target that set by the government. Pertamina as a state owned company that manage energy business, very appreciate by the trust that was given by the government and fully support to accomplished the target by accelerating the assigned projects in order fulfilling community energy demand,” said Dwi.
Other than infrastructures that were launched today, Pertamina also has managed city gas in various locations, including Prabumulih, Wajo, Jambi, Sidoarjo with total 18,976 houshold connections. There will be 30,407 new city gas connections in 8 Districts and Cities that will operated this year.
The numbers of city gas consumers will continue increase. Total Pertamina’s city gas consumers are approximately 89,383 houshold connections in 2017. As for transportation sector, there are 34 gas station infrastructure include MRU in various locations in Jabodetabek, Palembang, Semarang and Balikpapan that also manage by Pertamina. By adding new units that still under development, in 2017 Pertamina will operating 53 units gas station.
Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources said his appreciation to Pertamina that has shown its commitment to hand by hand with the government in order completing gas infrastructure development. According to him, oil to gas conversion program will be needing support from all stakeholdes, including central and local government; state owned company and other related institutions.
“All parties has to coordinate to each other and building a good communication to the community especially the gas consumer, so that this program can be accepted by the community and runs smoothly,” said Sudirman.
Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources to Support Urban Gas Network in East Java
The Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Ignasius Jonan specially inspected the urban gas network construction in Mojokerto Regency, East Java, on Sunday (11/08). The construction project is carried out by Pertamina. The visit was meant to see firsthand the progress of the project financed with APBN 2017 of Rp 37.8 billion.....
