• Simenggaris – Bunyu Pipeline Project

This gas pipeline project was triggered by the need to transport gas from ex-JOB Simenggaris to Methanol Bunyu refinery in order to get the added value of gas transportation and gas trading business through pipeline, as well as reviving the KMB which expected to provide a positive impact on Bunyu Island economic activities. This project was conducted through a consortium between Pertamina Gas (70%) and Medco Gas Indonesia (30%). This consortium was represented by forming JVCo namely PT Perta Kalimantan Gas.

• Simpang Y – Pusri Pipeline Looping Project

Simpang Y –Pusri Pipeline Looping development was aimed to increase the existing gas distribution and gas transportation security compliance, considering the age of the existing gas pipeline that was more than 20 years. At some point in the pipeline the metal loss indication was over than 70%, therefore the pressure has to be lowered for safety reason. This condition makes the gas distribution for Simpang Y – Layang Island declined from 318MMSCFD to 293 MMSCFD and Layang Island – Pusri declined from 269 MMSCFD to 250 MMSCFD.

• Semarang – Gresik Pipeline Project

Semarang – Gresik gas pipeline development is aimed to make PT Pertamina Gas as the dominant player in natural gas transportation business in Java Island. This project also intends to give a chance for PT Pertamina Gas to become the Gas Trader along the Semarang – Gresik, before that chance was taken by other competitor. Semarang – Gresik project also aimed to catch the gas field potential in Cepu Block and other gas fields along the pipeline to transport gas to customers in East Java and Central Java.
