In the effort to ensure operational excellence, PT Pertamina Gas continually strives to keep the pipelines in good condition by, among other things, intelligent pig and Risk Base Inspections. All the inspection data is stored in an integrated database system known as the Asset Integrity Management (AIM).

In order to maintain the gas volume and to minimize the gas losses below the level agreed with the shippers, PT Pertamina Gas has developed SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) as the basis for gas pipe operation control across Indonesia. Following this, a Pipeline Management System (PMS) was developed to control gas pipeline operations, and a Gas Measurement System (GMS) as the basis for gas volume and billing calculations. With PMS and GMS, PT Pertamina Gas knows exactly where the gas is being transported.
